Lincoln Lines February 10th, 2019 No. 21

Principal Denitzio’s Message

Dear families,

I hope you all had a great weekend. This is our last week before February break, as school will be closed the week of Feb. 18. We’ll return on Feb. 25.

Thank you to everyone who made donations in support of our Food Drive for Brookline Food Pantry organized by our 8th graders. This food drive was in support of our 8th grade class’s service day this past Wednesday. I want to acknowledge the work done by our 8th grade teaching team for organizing this day of service, which brought our 8th graders to four organizations–Cradles to Crayons, Community Servings, the Brookline Food Pantry, and the Brookline Senior Center. This was a great opportunity for our students to demonstrate our core value of Compassion.

High School Renovation Website Launched

Last week the district launched a website with information on the Brookline High School renovation project. The site contains a wealth of information about the project and what it will look like once completed.

For our current 7th and 8th graders, the site has detailed information about the 9th grade transition and how Old Lincoln School will factor into the experience for these two classes. The site will be updated regularly with new information and answers to frequently asked questions. The site can be found here.

In addition to the site, staff from BHS are holding three informational sessions in March for families of current 7th and 8th graders about the 9th grade transition.

March 19 at Pierce School at 6 p.m.
March 20 at Coolidge Corner School at 6:30 pm.
March 211 at Baker School at 7 p.m.
