Lincoln Lines June 24th, 2018 No. 39
Principal Denitzio’s Message
It’s hard to believe that our school year is nearly complete. Below are a few updates as we wrap up the year and look ahead to 2018-19. Thank you for a great year. I wish you all a restful summer.
Early Release on Tuesday
This Tuesday–the last day of school–is a noon release for all students K-8. No lunches will be served.
Report Cards/Progress Reports
Term 4 grades close on Monday of this week. Report cards will publish to the parent portal on Thursday, June 28. Families will receive an email notifying them when they are posted. Progress reports for grades 1-5 will publish on the portal on Thursday, June 28 as well.
Class Lists / Supply Lists
Throughout the months of May and June, grade-level teams at Lincoln have met multiple times to generate class lists for the 2018-19 school year. I want to underscore the thought and effort that has gone into creating classes for next year that are well-balanced and allow all students an opportunity to be successful academically and socially. These lists are very nearly finalized and your student’s class assignment for next year will be provided in early July along with a list of supplies needed for the start of school in September.

Please take a picture of your family or family member reading and send it to Ms. O’Donnell or Mrs. Abner so we can create Our Around the World Reading Bulletin Board!

2018 Superintendent of Schools Evaluation
To help inform its annual evaluation of the Superintendent, the School Committee invites Brookline community members, staff, and families to share comments and reflections on the Superintendent’s performance. We encourage thoughtful, candid responses, all of which will be kept confidential and will be shared with the public and full School Committee in aggregated summary form only. Your feedback is a very valuable component of our review process, and we appreciate your taking the time to respond.
To provide feedback through an online survey please click here.
Please respond to this survey only once. Completed surveys are due no later than June 30th, 2018.
If you have any questions, please direct them to:

Piano Lessons for Kids
Hello Lincoln Community! I’m Liz, UC Berkeley B.A. in auditory sciences and music with 20 years of classical music training, 12 years of instrumental/vocal studies and performance in concert orchestras/bands, chamber ensembles, and choirs, and 6 years of music instruction experience. I’m excited to work with more young pianists and help all students build lifelong music skills! My lessons are supportive and creative environments with focuses on piano technique, sight-reading, and music theory.
All of my lessons take place in your home – there’s no need to travel, I’ll come to you! Scheduling is flexible, and payment is per lesson. I’ve also worked with several music classes throughout Brookline Public Schools, and am currently working with two families at the Lincoln School. I would be happy to provide references!
Please feel free to email me at email@example.com or call me at (949) 502-1919 – thank you!
